The Mission’s True Laurel was named number 30 on the 2024 North America’s 50 Best Bars list and was awarded the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award 2024 at a ceremony on Tuesday, April 23. Pacific Cocktail Haven, one of FiDi’s top destinations for Asian- and AAPI-inspired drinks, was recognized as number 38. The list is the beverage industry’s equivalent of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and was launched in 2022.

Pacific Cocktail Haven comes from owner Kevin Diedrich who shines a light on ingredients from across Asia and the Pacific. True Laurel, meanwhile, is the outfit born from two-Michelin-star restaurant Lazy Bear’s founding bar director Nicolas Torres; in a press release, Torres says the organization recognizing True Laurel’s consistent dedication to sustainable practice feels good.
